Weekly Goal Update: April 23 - 29

April 23 - 29
I'm happy to say this was a good week in life for me, though not the best week for my weight!  I'm determined to get back on track for the coming week so let's take a closer look at where I went wrong and what changes I plan on making.

1. Make healthier food choices.
๐Ÿšซ  This week wasn't the best for eating healthy.  I did just fine at breakfast and lunch but our evenings were so busy that dinner was the downfall.  Too much frozen pizza and tacos!  I really need to make an effort to get back on track for next week and that's going to mean getting hubby on board for cooking healthy dinners.  Although I don't think it will take much convincing for him... he gained weight this week too!  ๐Ÿ˜†

2. Exercise five days a week for thirty minutes (or a total of 150 minutes per week, 2.5 hours).
✅  This week's exercise was mostly a combination of walking and jogging on the treadmill and some walks around town.  I was working at our central office most of this week and two days during our lunch hour, one of my coworkers and I walked down to the corner store.  It's not a long walk but just enough to clear your head of work for awhile, buy a diet coke, water, gum or whatever, and then walk back and still have plenty of time to eat lunch.  It gives us some exercise while saving us money and calories on going out to lunch.  I'll be at the central office more for the next couple of weeks so I'm going to try to make it a habit to do that at least a few times a week until it gets too hot.

Sunday: 2 sessions of 20 minutes on the treadmill
Monday: 40 minute walk
Tuesday: 20 minute jog on the treadmill
Wednesday: 20 minute walk (to & from the corner store)
Thursday: 40 minutes on the treadmill
Friday: 22 minute walk (to & from the corner store); 12 minute walk
Saturday: --

Total time:  3 hours, 14 minutes

3. Get 10,000 steps six days a week.

✅  I met and and surpassed this goal with 10,000 steps seven days this week.  That's becoming a trend for me!  I'm really proud of the fact that I got over 13,000 steps two days this week as well.  Aww yeahh!

4. Go to sleep earlier.
✅  Goal: Weeknights between 9:00PM and 9:30PM
My actual average bed time for weeknights was 9:28:42PM.  I was again trying really hard to go to sleep earlier this week.  Success for the weeknights!

๐Ÿšซ  Goal: Weekends between 10:00PM and 10:30PM
My actual average bed time for weekends was 11:06:56PM.  I went to bed on time Friday night but Saturday ended up being a super busy day, shown by the fact that I got 12,000 steps without exercising or even leaving the house!  We did six loads of laundry on Saturday, including three loads of quilts, sheets, and other bedding.  But the quilts took forever to dry so we were staying awake waiting for the last load to finish drying before we went to bed.  We finally just had to take the quilt out and hang it up to finish drying because we were so tired and the dryer is so loud that I can't sleep with it on.

5. Leave some wiggle room.
✅  I did better in this category than I did the previous week.  I swapped out my night time frozen yogurt with fresh fruit this week.  Watermelon and grapes did a good job of satisfying my sweet tooth without so many extra calories.  I drank a lot of diet soda but that's just adding extra sodium and not any extra calories.  What did add in extra calories was the breakfast I had at IHOP on Wednesday.  We took our secretary out for Administrative Professional's Day but I tried to keep it a little lighter by swapping out for egg whites, turkey bacon, and whole wheat toast but I just couldn't give up that high calorie hash brown!  I also had a delicious chocolate chip cookie one day when my blood sugar was low.

6. Progress towards goal?
๐Ÿšซ  This week, I gained 0.8 pounds.  Holy cow.  I really think it was the massive amount of pizza and tacos I ate this week.  ๐Ÿ• ๐ŸŒฎ  Next week I'll be focusing on eating healthier dinners that are lower in sodium!  But the whole reason I've continued doing my Weekly Goal Updates after meeting my weight goal was so that I would continue to hold myself accountable and be able to keep the weight off.  I don't want to slip back into bad habits.

Outfits of the Week: April 24 - 28

This was kind of an off week for outfits for me.  I usually have so many that I love but this week I just wasn't as enthusiastic about what I was wearing.  I really liked Monday's and Tuesday's outfits but the others I could take or leave.  I guess every outfit can't be your favorite.

Ah, back to work after a lovely weekend.  Monday mornings are a little perkier when I have on a happy floral blouse.  However, this blazer confuses me.  It's the same brand and size as the navy one I wore here but it's definitely larger and longer.  What's up with that?  I guess that's how it is with cheap clothes from Amazon.  It's not bad enough for me to want to return it but I definitely notice the difference between the two and I prefer the fit of the navy one.  Maybe I could take this one in at the side seams?  We'll see how I feel after wearing it more than just one time.

How out of control big is my bun in this picture?  I actually ended up redoing it after taking these and seeing how absurdly big it was.  I swapped out the medium size bun donut I had in it for the mini bun donut and was much more satisfied.  And it was lighter!  That super sized bun was heavy and wiggling too much.  But I still love me a messy bun!  I also love how this outfit seems so simple but so me.  Lately I'm finding myself very comfortable wearing blouse, blazer, pants combinations.  If I could afford to buy a blazer in every color sold here, I would totally do it.

This outfit was perfectly fine, cute, and professional but I just couldn't really get excited about it.  Maybe I prefer patterned blouses to a patterned blazer?  I just don't feel like there are all that may different ways to wear this blazer.  I guess I'm just listing this as a ho-hum outfit in my book.

This was another outfit that I was just kind of meh about.  I know I haven't worn this exact same outfit before but it feels like I have (so similar here, with different pants and different black blouse).  Again, with patterned blazers I just don't feel like there are a whole lot of options for remixing.  Note to self: stick to buying solid blazers from here on.

This blouse never seems to photograph accurately.  In real life, it's a much more vibrant, bold mint but it always photographs as a soft sea foam looking green.  I'm not really sure why but just trust me that it's actually much prettier in real life.  This outfit was born when I woke up and decided that I didn't feel like wearing this blouse with the navy skirt and denim jacket I had originally picked out.  But I liked this outfit too so in the end it all worked out.

Shopping My Stash Drawer: Late April 2017

I've been a bit reluctant to admit it to myself, but I've been in a makeup rut lately.  A busy schedule with work has caused me to just default to a lazy routine.  It's not that I don't have tons of products that I love, it's just that when I'm tired it's easier to use the same things over and over.  I'm here to try to get out of that rut by shopping my stash and filling my top drawer - the items I grab for most often - with things I haven't used in a while.  Let's check out what I picked to use for the next couple of weeks.

1. Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette - Let's start this party off with the biggest item.  I pulled out my Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette.  Lately I feel like I've been using my mattes a lot or every now and then throwing in some ultra shimmery shadows.  This palette has a lot of satin finish shades that are perfect for work and a bit of a change in finish compared to what I've been using lately.  Also, I've barely used this palette since I bought it!

And now that we have that big palette pulled out, let's talk about what's underneath one section at a time.

1. Maybelline Lash Discovery Waterproof Mascara in Very Black - I've been trying this out on my bottom lashes again.  I just can't seem to find any mascara that won't smudge under my bottom lashes and this girl has dark enough circles already!
2. CoverGirl Clump Crusher Water Resistant Mascara in Very Black - This is what I was using for the lower lashes before.  It's great but it will not hold up to humidity or rain and it's already getting hot and humid here in the south.
3. CoverGirl Last Blast Volume Waterproof Mascara in Very Black - I've been giving this a try again after years of despising it for depositing too much mascara.  I've been wiping the wand off before application and now I think I'm in love!
4. Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara in Classic Black - This is my old tried and true but we're involved in a sort of on again off again thing right now while I experiment with the others.

Lip Products
1. Flower Beauty HydraSilk Ultimate Lip Butter in Rose Petal - This color has been on rotation often lately.  It's similar to my natural lips but with a bit more shine.  It's an easy go-to color.
2. e.l.f. Matte Lipstick in Wine - This shade is newer to my collection and I've been wearing it a lot lately as well.  It's a bold shade without being loud and I love it.
3. e.l.f. Matte Lipstick in Mulberry Maven - This is another new to me shade.  It's definitely one of the loudest lip colors I've selected so I only wear it when I don't have a meeting where this shade might distract people from what I'm saying.  But I personally love the pink-berry color.
4. Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lipcolor in HD Vineyard - This shade is unique but still wearable.  I would describe it as a plummy pink and I've been wearing it a lot lately too.
5. e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Satin Lipstick in Touch of Blush - Touch of Blush is the perfect work lipstick that's one of those my lips but better shades.
6. Wet N Wild MegaLast Lip Color in Rose-Bud - I pulled this color out because I was craving something peachy but actual peach lipstick looks awful on me.  This bright coral shade is a great compromise and it can be worn really opaque or sheered out a bit with a lip brush.
7. Essence Sheer & Shine Lipstick in BFF - This is a great sheer color that adds some life to your lips.  It often lives in my purse but I unburied it from the purse depths to remind myself to use it more.
8. e.l.f. Moisturizing Lipstick in Ravishing Rose - This is another great work shade that I haven't worn in ages!  It's similar to Touch of Blush but just different enough to justify having them both in this rotation.

1. Milani Powder Blush in Romantic Rose - Not going to lie, this blush is always in my top drawer.  It's just perfect!  It's matte, it's pigmented without being so bold I have to be super careful and it goes with just about any other makeup.
2. Jordana Blush Powder in Rouge - This is a newer item to my collection as well.  This super affordable blush is a matte peachy-pink shade and adds some real brightness to the face.
3. Essence Silky Touch Blush in Babydoll - Since I had a theme of all matte blushes going on (What is with me and mattes lately?), I decided to grab two with a slightly shimmery finish.  This one is really pretty pinky mauve and the shimmer is not so loud that I feel sparkly.
4. Essence Silky Touch Blush in Autumn Peach - Again, another shimmery blush but this time in a peachy shade that's super flattering.
5. Essence Blush Up Powder Blush in Heat Wave - And why not add in something for a fun, bright pop?  This is another matte and I love how you can customize to get more orange, more pink, or a mix that makes a pretty bright coral.
6. e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in Fiji (matte) - Fiji is another product I've had for quite some time and barely used at all.  The blush is a really soft sort of pinky coral and the bronzer will be nice for times when I want to look a little sunkissed.

Face Products
1. CoverGirl Outlast All-Day 3-in-1 Foundation in Classic Ivory - If it's possible to be addicted to foundation, then I've got a problem with this one.  The problem is, since buying it, this is all I want to use!  I love how easy it is to blend out, how well it lasts, and the fact that it has SPF built in.
2. CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream in Fair - Just for a change of pace, I threw in this BB Cream as well.  I know I love it too but I haven't used it since I got the Outlast Foundation.
3. Benefit Erase Paste in No. 1 Fair - I seriously use nothing else under my eyes but this.  I've found nothing that can even come close to covering my dark circles like this.  And it's pricey so I don't spend money trying others when I know I love this one.
4. Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 Concealer in Fair/Light - This concealer has been a good match for the Outlast Foundation and I've used it any time a pimple has crept up and tried to ruin my day.  I just wish it lasted better through the day!
5. e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set - I use this every day to take away the powdery look after I do my face makeup.
6. L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder in n2 Classic Ivory - I had strayed away from this powder for awhile as I tried to finish off another one in my collection but now I've come back to it and I remember how great it is!  So soft and light and never looks cakey.

Eye Products
1. Essence Eyeshadow in Triple Choc - I have used this shadow so much!  You can probably tell by how the label is barely visible any more.  It's just a perfect medium brown crease shade for me when I want just a bit of contour.
2. Elizabeth Mott Show Me Your Glow Shimmer Shadow & Highlighter - This was in my April Ipsy and I love me a shimmery beige shadow!
3. Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Single in Brulee - I use this constantly as a brow highlight or sometimes a lid color.  It's a great matte cream shade.
4. Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Single in Panther - I often find myself applying this matte black shadow wet as an eyeliner.  It gives soft definition.
5. e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil in Neutral Brown - This is my go to daily brow fill in.  It's super affordable and a great match for my brow shade.
6. Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner in Nude - I use this almost daily as well.  Nothing wakes up tired eyes like lining your lower inner rim with this.  It wears away well throughout the day too.
7. ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Show Me - This was also in my April Ipsy.  I really love the formula and the color is fun but I like more definition on my top lashes.  I want to experiment with it on my lower lashes though.
8. Essence Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Black - Several times I've worn the ColourPop Liner thickly on my lashes and given them definition with a thin line of this.  It's a fun combination.
9. Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio in Nude Eyes (black shade) - I decided to give my pencil liners another try after loving the ColourPop one so much.  I tried this today and smudged it in with a brush and really liked the softer definition it gave than just wearing it regular.
10. Essence I Heart Stage Eyeshadow Base - I've been using this as my shadow primer lately and really enjoying it.
11. Milani Brow Shaping Clear Wax - This is what I use to set my brows pretty much every morning lately.  It's simple and does the trick.
12. L.A. Colors 5 Color Matte Eyeshadow in Natural Linen - Just in case I needed a break from the 28 Neutral Palette, I threw in a few mattes as well.  This palette is compact and has lovely cool shades.
13. L.A. Colors 5 Color Matte Eyeshadow in Brown Tweed - And this palette has warmer mattes so whatever mood I'm in, I'm covered.

Hopefully having some different items right on hand to choose from will help me get out of my makeup rut and find my creativity again.  Do you have any suggestions on how to get out of a makeup rut?  I'm hoping that being subscribed to Ipsy will help me too.  I can't resist trying out the fun stuff they send me so maybe I'll find something unexpected that I love.

Review: CoverGirl Outlast All-Day 3-in-1 Foundation

Product Claims:
According to CoverGirl's website, "Outlast All-Day 3-in-1 Foundation makeup fuses primer, concealer, and foundation in one easy step! This 3-in-1 formula provides a flawless look that lasts all day. " [source]

What I wanted this product to do:
* match my skin
* last all day
* cover flaws and even out skin tone without looking heavy or cakey

1. It has a pump!  I wish every cream or liquid came with a pump application or at least a squeeze tube.
2. It has SPF 20 built in.
3. The shade Classic Ivory is a dead on match for my skin tone.
4. It dries down to a matte but not too matte finish.
5. The lasting power is amazing!  Once it dries down, it doesn't come off until you wash it off!  It doesn't wipe off on clothes, your hands, or your cell phone!  It even lasts well through sweaty workouts.

1. The SPF in it can make it flash back white in photos.
2. At over $10, it's a bit expensive.

Would I buy it again/recommend it?
Definitely!  I really like this foundation.  It's one of the best that I've tried in a long time and I plan on buying it again when it runs out.  I've already recommended it to a friend and I would recommend it to you as well!  You can see from the pictures below that it evens out my skintone and covers minor imperfections really well.

And just as one last piece of evidence for why I think this foundation is so great... The second day we had our incline treadmill, I wanted to try out one of the pre-set mountain trails.  I picked the 250 calorie workout, which is still within the easy set.  I figured it would be a good "hike", with a lot of walking but maybe some heavy inclines.  Since I thought it would be an easy workout, I didn't wash off my makeup first.  Turns out there was a ton of running, steep inclines, and barely any easy walking.  I finished the whole workout (proud of that) but was covered in sweat by the end.  I snapped a photo to show that my makeup was still looking pretty good!  The shine you see is sweat but the foundation was still there!

Weekly Goal Update: April 16 - 22

April 16 - 22

This past week couldn't end fast enough!  After the previous week of four days, going back to a full week was no fun.  Especially when it turned out to be an emotional and kind of stressful week.  Sixteen weeks of 2017 down and may each one be a little better than the last.

1. Make healthier food choices.
✅  I did okay with this but I definitely could have done better.  My biggest problem was just eating too much of the wrong things and not enough of the right things.  Next week I hope to focus on eating more fruits, veggies, and whole grains, and less of everything else.

2. Exercise five days a week for thirty minutes (or a total of 150 minutes per week, 2.5 hours).
✅  While I might not have had as many minutes exercising this week as I usually do, I did much more rigorous exercise than I usually do too!  I ran three days this week, which is more times than I have ran combined in the last ten years.  It's good for the heart!  Lots of cardio action happening this week for sure and honestly, it felt so good to come home and sweat after stressful days!

Sunday: 30 minutes on the treadmill
Monday: 34 minutes on the treadmill
Tuesday: 25 minutes on the treadmill; 5 minutes on the stationary bike
Wednesday: 17 minutes on the treadmill (jogged 1.0 mile + cooldown!)
Thursday: 30 minute walk
Friday: 23 minutes on the treadmill (jogged 1.5 miles!)
Saturday: 15 minutes on the treadmill (jogged 1.0 mile!); 15 minutes on the stationary bike

Total time: 3 hours, 14 minutes

3. Get 10,000 steps six days a week.

✅  I met and beat this goal again by getting over 10,000 steps seven days this week, including racking up 11,823 steps on Wednesday, thanks to the treadmill.  I definitely feel that having the exercise equipment right in our house has helped to make it easier to get steps in each day and to be motivated to get more exercise.

4. Go to sleep earlier.
✅  Goal: Weeknights between 9:00PM and 9:30PM
My actual average bed time for weeknights was 9:25:30PM.  After last week's bedtime fails, I made an effort this week to be sure to be in bed early every night.  It paid off!  I was less tired throughout the week than when I stay up later.  And with the more rigorous exercising I was doing, I was more tired before bed and slept better than usual as well.

✅  Goal: Weekends between 10:00PM and 10:30PM
My actual average bed time for weekends was 10:14:43PM.  Again, I made this a priority and to be honest, after my workout on Saturday, I was pretty tired anyway!

5. Leave some wiggle room.
✅  This week my fail was in this category.  I know I need to leave myself some room for "fun" eating but I went a little overboard last week.  I'm pretty sure I had frozen yogurt almost every night.  Along with the candy bars, cookies, and general overeating on Easter (and several other days), this is where I'm pretty sure I racked up the extra weight.  This coming week I really need to get back on track eating better and having more self-control.  What can I say, it's a rough time when stress, that time of the month, and a holiday all happen at the same time.  The plus side is that doing these weekly posts really makes me reflect more and helps me to get back on track and refocus.

6. Progress towards goal?
✅  This week, I gained 0.4 pounds but I'm still holding steady at my desired 10.0 pound weight loss.  However, if I gain 0.4 pounds every week, I'll be right back where I started really quickly.  Moving forward, I know what I need to do and I'm going to try really hard this coming week to make it a better one.  Something I need to focus on is using exercise as a destress mechanism instead of eating.  Two weeks ago I did really well using fruit like watermelon to satisfy my craving for sweets so maybe I'll stop by the grocery store tomorrow and pick up some of that.  Who doesn't love a good watermelon as we enter into the warmer months?  And watermelon is much better for me than candy bars.

Outfits of the Week: April 17 - 21

TGIF!  I'm so happy to be starting my weekend.  This week was stressful and emotional and I'm ready to change gears for a couple of days of some much needed rest and relaxation.  Is it weird that I'm looking forward to getting on the treadmill this evening and just clearing my head while I pound out some steps?  I don't normally look forward to exercise but today I just am looking forward to focusing on the movement.

Don’t I look so perky and ready to go back to work after a long weekend in these photos?  ๐Ÿ˜†  And these were the best ones!  Most of the outfit photos I took this day just looked like I was straight up scowling at the camera.  It’s not that I don’t like my job… I just really like sleeping in past 5AM!  Anyway, this outfit got me through a day where I was going to be in front of school leaders for a training so I wanted to look extra professional.  Luckily, I was more of a background support than the actual person giving the presentation but I felt dressed for whatever needed to be done.

I absolutely loved this outfit! It's simple but I felt so chic in it and I liked wearing these chili red pants with something other than dark colors.  I was sad that I forgot to wear the necklace that I had planned with this outfit but I still think it looks great.  This was my favorite outfit of the week and I'm so pleased that this ensemble looked as good in real life as it did in my head.

I have to say, I just love this Aulinรฉ Collection blazer from Amazon. This brand is my favorite from Amazon and I get so many compliments when I wear them! It's the same brand as the pink one I was wearing in this post. I'm hoping to post a review in the next couple of days on the three different brands of blazers I've tried from Amazon.

Today was Purple Up Day for our school district and so of course I busted out the one purple top that I have for the occasion, which worked out well since I haven't worn it since February.  I accessorized with my favorite deathly hallows necklace, my black bead medic alert bracelet (type I diabetes), and my Fitbit Alta with a black band.  I always wear my Alta, a simple pair of real diamond stud earrings, and my medic alert bracelet so I never really mention them but in case you ever wondered, now you know.  I have a couple of different Alta bands that I switch between and also different beaded bracelets that clip to the medic alert connector that I also alternate.

3 Casual Outfits

I've been posting my work outfits pretty much weekly for the last couple of months but I've also been saving up a few casual outfits to share.  A lot of the time I don't really change out of my pajamas on the weekends but on the rare occasion that I leave the house, I try to remember to take a picture or two.  I've saved up three and it seemed like enough to go ahead and post now.

Casual Outfit #1:
This outfit was perfect for an impromptu day hanging out with a friend.  We hit a few stores and got some coffee.  I didn't have much time to pick out an outfit so I sort of repeated something I wore earlier and just swapped out the blouse.

This simple outfit was what I wore to go to the flea market the day before Easter.  We were hoping to find an awesome second hand stationary bike so I wanted sneakers for walking around the dusty aisles and something that I could wear and look halfway decent but still be able to try out any potential bikes.  We found only one and it wasn't really what I was looking for.  Later that day I did some online hunting and found a great deal on a new stationary bike instead so I also wore this when we went to pick that up.  Can you tell I love my Keds for casual wear?  They're super comfy but don't look as bulky as most sneakers.

Weekly Goal Update: April 9 - 15

Happy Easter!  We'll be spending ours having a quiet day at home including a lovely home cooked meal, which is a change from last week.  This past week was so crazy busy but also really good!  We found a used incline treadmill at a great price and got it set up in our house.  We also picked up a stationary bike and put that together and now we've got our guest bedroom doubling as an exercise space.  It's going to be so much easier to exercise and get in my steps now that we have equipment in the air conditioning, seeing as it's already in the 80s here in Florida.  Let's check out how much exercise I was able to get in this week!

1. Make healthier food choices.
✅  Even though this was a really busy week, I tried to stay (mostly) on track with eating on the go.  Two nights we literally just ran into Publix and grabbed something to take home to eat so I at least made it healthyish by getting a whole grain sandwich and eating only half of it with an amazingly delicious Kickin' BBQ Style salad and some watermelon.  No lie, I had that same meal twice this week.  I still want to eat the salad again too!  So good.

2. Exercise five days a week for thirty minutes (or a total of 150 minutes per week, 2.5 hours).
✅  We didn't get our treadmill until Wednesday night and the stationary bike got put together on Saturday night but I still got in some exercise this week!  In the photo above, the orange images are from the treadmill and the grey and black is from the bike.

Sunday: 42 minute indoor walk
Monday: 45 minute indoor walk
Tuesday: --
Wednesday: 10 minute outdoor walk (with friends, which always makes it better!) and 15 minutes on the treadmill
Thursday: 27 minute walk/jog on the treadmill
Friday: 28 minute walk/jog on the treadmill and 23 minute walk on the treadmill
Saturday: 32 minute outdoor walk and 10 minutes on the stationary bike

Total time: 3 hours, 52 minutes

3. Get 10,000 steps six days a week.
✅  This one was so much easier with a treadmill for the second half of the week!  Wednesday was quite a busy day of sitting and typing at work so I didn't get many steps in and it was so easy to come home, hop on the treadmill once it was finally ready, and just get those last steps in to meet my goal.  As an introvert, I'm just not a gym person and I'm really excited to be able to have all the equipment that I need right in my house to be able to meet my goals.  Also, I'm really excited that the stationary bike that we bought (this one) also has moving arms so I get credit for steps while cycling too!  Some people would say that's cheating but I feel like I should get credit if I'm exercising and getting in a good cardio workout.  To each their own, I guess!

4. Go to sleep earlier.
๐Ÿšซ Goal: Weeknights between 9:00PM and 9:30PM
My actual average bed time for weeknights was 9:56:20PM.  Oops!  Once again, the hardest goal for me is sleep.  This week was just so busy and we were getting home so late that sleep was the thing that ended up getting sacrificed.  I feel like I say this every week, but may next week be less busy!

๐Ÿšซ  Goal: Weekends between 10:00PM and 10:30PM
My actual average bed time for weekends was 10:39:15PM.  I wasn't so far off from my goal on the weekends, coming in just nine minutes later than I would like.  I was really trying not to stay up too late over my long weekend and completely mess up my sleep pattern for when I went back to work.  We'll see how early I'm able to fall asleep tonight!

5. Leave some wiggle room.
✅  This week's wiggle room was all about sweets and especially chocolate!  It's the time of the month where I'm super craving chocolate.  Normally I can sort of ignore that craving for a few days but I've been thinking about chocolate for about three weeks now and I figured it was fine to indulge a little as long as I watched what I ate for the rest of the day to leave room for those extra calories.  It must have worked out okay, as I still lost weight by the end of the week.

6. Progress towards goal?
✅  This week, I lost 0.2 pounds and am at 10.4 pounds total weight loss.  I'm not even really sure how I'm still losing weight at this point.  Maybe it's just water weight fluctuation?  Or the extra calories I burned jogging on the treadmill?  I normally never go faster than a walk!  I guess we'll see as time goes on.  Right now my goal is less about weight loss and more about toning up the muscles that I have.  I don't really have a way to measure that and I'm just not ready to spend money on one of those fancy scales that measures body fat percentage or calipers to pinch the fat and measure.  I don't need to be that obsessive about my looks, in my opinion.  What's more important is that I feel great!  I have more energy, more confidence, and I'm just happier than when I was being a lazy slug and eating tons of garbage.  And that's really what this is about for me.
